Production timeline

Week one.
This week we sat down in our groups, and did some research on what song we would like to use for our music video. We came across a band called Lion O' Brien, and they're song 'Raincloud Vs Sunshine' We chose this song because fun and cheery, it was also had easy lyrics that we could easily characterise. Also  we decided on what style to film our music video in. We chose animation because it could be interesting and fun to do.

Week two.
This week we started to design the characters and think up a storyline. We decided to go with a simple story, one that followed the lyrics and one that the audience could follow with ease. We had the idea of a having and male and female protagonist. The story we thought upon was that the male and female live in a house and they go for a walk up a hill.

Week three.
This week we decided upon what style of animation we should film our video in. We are going to do stop-start animation on paper. This where we draw a scene, take a picture then move it slightly and then take another picture. We will do this until the song is finished.

Week four.
This week we start to create storyboards. In this we decided the shot angles, how the characters would move, what the colours that we would use are. A basic view of what the video will actually be. We also developed the story and characters a tad more.

Week five:
This week we came across a problem.  we found that using paper to animate  was a time consuming effort and time is what we didn't have. so after toying with a few ideas, we came up with using white boards. we decided to use these as a scene could be easily wiped off and the next scene could be drawn on.

Week six.
This week we came across another problem. Although the wipe-boards were faster that paper, it still wasn't quick enough. We also discovered that none of us can draw to the standard that is needed for our video. So to overcome this, we decided to use Microsoft Paint and Photoshop. It is easier and quicker, plus the final product will look a lot better, if we had just drawn it with our hands.

Week seven.
This week we decided who would edit want parts and who would be in charge for those scenes.
Me-The first scenes. from the house to the hill
Jonjo-From the hill to the flower.
Elliot-The title and the flower at the end.
Splitting up the scenes will be a quicker more efficient way of making the video

Week eight.
This week we have started creating the video. I started by  making the base scenes, the ones which will be the backdrop for the characters in the foreground. Then I will move the characters a little each and click save as, to create a new JPEG.

Week nine.
This week we have continued to edit. I started to put the charaters with the backdrop. Then I would move the charatcers slightly and save it, then keep moving and saving untill the scene is complete.

Week ten.
This week I have still continued to edit.  I managed to finsh the scenes from last week. I have started and finshed the next set of scenes using the same method.
These scenes are where the couple are walking down the garden path and will lead in to the hill scenes where Jonjo will take over.

Week eleven.
This week I finished all my scenes, as have Jonjo. We are still waiting Elliot  to finish his scenes we will then put the into Adobe Premier Pro to edit.

Week twelve
This week we came across a problem. All of our scenes are of different dimensions. So to overcome this and make the all the same, we searched Google on a guild to show us how to do it and we came across this.
